The Divisions Managing Director - Mick Tabori
With 25 years of senior Operational experience, Mick joined the Darkstorm Services Group in 2001. He has been instrumental in re structuring and streamlining the company, its management team and infrastructure to ensure a holistic yet specific service delivery. Mick’s experience and knowledge of the Security sector have been key to the growth of our business with his eye for detail and a true understanding of our clients requirements.
Chief Operating Officer - Ian Hall
Ian has spent time with the armed forces and as a police officer in London, during which time he trained as a firearms officer and carried out various policing roles. He then moved into commercial security where he worked in senior management for ten years with national and international clients. During this time he carried out a number of detailed security surveys into criminal, terrorist and natural threats for leading blue chip companies. Ian gained a Master’s degree with distinction in Security and Risk Management in 2003 and since then he has written for a variety of fields on personal and physical protection. His thesis and studies on workplace violence in the security industry was given an award by ASIS. Ian has in-depth experience of dealing with large national and international companies and multi-site management as well as M&A involvement. Since 2003 he has worked extensively in the security consultancy sector of the industry with numerous well known international key accounts. He regularly works at board level in supporting areas such as audits; strategy; business continuity planning; new build projects and step change to help them achieve total security awareness and procedures.
Client Director – Darren Leigh
Darren has over 20 years experience in security, specialising in operations, security systems, counter terrorism, training and team development , contingency and crisis management, health & safety, fire safety, standards and compliance auditing. He has set up and managed the security and health & safety for global companies including; Armani, IHG, Fairmont and Atlantis both in the UK and overseas. He also has a wealth of experience working with Police and Government Agencies on implementing projects in the private sector, such as Project Argus as well as consulting and training for the Police in the Middle East on security standards and licensing. Darren has managed countless events and openings as well as ensuring the close protection of celebrities, VIP’s and senior executives. Darren delivers a customer service led security product on behalf of some of our most discerning clients and ensures this is done whilst maintaining a complete focus on systems, planning and security standards.
Operations Manager- Richard Crompton
Richard is a very experienced Manager within the Security industry, he has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results on a key client portfolios. His forte is in performance management – implementing change and delivering discernible results by using his detailed knowledge and expertise in operations, response, auditing, risk assessment and investigations. Richard has many years of Operational Management experience working for companies such as Mitie and the Corps, coordinating the operations for many of their national accounts.
Contract Manager - Zubair Ghori
Zubair has a Bachelor of Commerce, a MBA in Finance, a PgD in Business Management. With a wealth of experience managing security teams, for clients, some of which include the Intercontinental Park Lane, The Belgravia, Sanderson and St. Martins Lane, he is responsible for the direct training and performance delivery for the security personnel on behalf of our clients. Zubair is a qualified compliance auditor and ensures delivery of the highest standards in accordance with the SIA ACS and ISO.
Operations Administrator- Lauren Bartels
Lauren joined Metropol in 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Public Relations. Before joining the group Lauren specialised in event management working with charities and corporate clients, on a wide variety of locations including Royal Ascot and retail launches. As with all our Operations Management she is front line licensed, although her focus is now on administration, client support and relations.
Customer Service Manager – Karim Badawi
Karim holds a BSC in Urban and Regional Planning as well as a MA in International Planning and sustainable development. Karim worked with International Holdings in the UAE before working with the Princes Foundation. He joined the group in September 2010 as a Customer Service Auditor. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our clients receive the level of service the group promises to deliver have resulted in Karim’s promotion to Customer Service Manager last year. He has become a key component in the group’s approach to service deliver and client support.
Operations Support Manager - Dean Evans
Dean started his security career at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park before serving with the Ministry of Defence Police, focusing on counter terrorism as well as providing armed and tactical response for the Ministry of Defence personnel and properties. Dean has served with other police and government agencies on both Criminal Investigation Department (CID) units and undercover operations. He also trained Police Officers in conflict management, arrest and restraint techniques and all other relevant officer safety training (OST). Prior to joining us Dean was Director of Security at the Fairmont in Abu Dhabi before returning to the UK to become the Assistant Director of Security for One Hyde Park Residences.
Operations Support - Pierre Mansson
Pierre is an experienced security professional with deployment in front-line positions both in the Balkans and Afghanistan working with NATO, ISAF and KFOR forces. He served with special operations, handling training and mentor positions for both the Afghan National Army and Kosovo boarder police. Pierre is experienced in operational planning, intelligence, surveillance and military tactics. Pierre’s military background is supported by his commercial experience ranging from private principles to 5 star hotels.
